How do I get financial support for an exchange?
The IFW cooperates with the Kurt-Alten-Foundation to award scholarships for stays abroad for students of mechanical engineering and related courses. With its technology award, the Kurt-Alten-Foundation supports research stays of young students of Leibniz Universität Hannover with up to 10.000,- €. Highly talented candidates from the field of natural or engineering sciences can be selected.
Here, funding is independent of the exchange destination. The students can choose a worldwide destination for a sponsored student research project or thesis, an internship or a semester abroad.
The IFW also cooperates with the Dr. Jürgen-und-Irmgard-Ulderup-Foundation and the Sieglinde-Vollmer-Foundation in awarding scholarships.
What requirements should I meet?
